Nov. 16--TOKYO -- Money handling machine maker Glory Ltd. said Tuesday its April-September period showed record-high group sales and net profit for the first half of fiscal 2004 due to ballooned demand for new machines ahead of the November introduction of new banknotes by the government.
Consolidated sales surged 56.1 percent from a year earlier to 99.20 billion yen and net profit increased by 4.1-fold to 13.26 billion yen. Pretax profit also nearly quadrupled to 21.45 ...
