$183,000 DOWN NOW WORTH $45 MILLION

Pat and Tim Robertson's leveraged buyout of The Family Channel two years ago has generated a huge family fortune -- about $45 million -- for the evangelist and his son.

Unlike other LBO millionaires, however, the Robertsons came by their new wealth with a lot of help form a non-profit corporation, the Christian Broadcasting Network ministry that the Robertsons have run for years.

The "leverage" in the leveraged buyout came almost entirely from CBN. The ministry lent the Robertsons' International Family Entertainment Corp. $227 ...
