Berks County, Pa., Fleet branches get converted to Bank of America.

Nov. 9--Considering that it is one of the largest banking and financial-services franchises in the country, Bank of America's entry into the Berks County market appears rather inauspicious.

Following the completion of its acquisition of Fleet Bank earlier this year, the firm has been converting Fleet branches to the Bank of America brand, a process that reached Berks County, Philadelphia and southeastern Pennsylvania in recent weeks.

As for now, Bank of America has only two branches in Berks County: at 1101 Woodland Road, Wyomissing, and 3215 N. Fifth Street Highway, ...
