Hal Prince is feeling protective.
Next week, the 25th anniversary production of his hit "Evita" arrives at the Colonial Theatre in Boston for the beginning of a 15-month national tour - and he's anxious the production be as close to the original as possible.
"I love this show," Prince said, "because it was a huge and difficult gamble originally. It started out as lyrics slipped into an album. It was artfully contrived, but figuring out how to stage it was a dangerous challenge that was consequently exhilarating."
