Oct. 22--Sheep may follow, but the sheep industry in Kern County is another matter.
Despite price increases this year for lamb meat and wool, the declining sheep industry in Kern County is not expected to bounce back, local experts say.
The welcome price increases, which come after a couple of years of dismal rates, will help keep the sheep industry stable here for a few years, said sheep ranchers Paco Iturriria, 70, and Dominique Minaberrigarai, 34.
