Afghanistan, Iraq wars part of global democratization, Bush says.

UNITED NATIONS _ President Bush told the U.N. General Assembly Tuesday that the U.S.-led wars in Afghanistan and Iraq were part of a global struggle not just against terrorism but also for the spread of democratic values.
"Today the Iraqi and Afghan people are on the path to democracy and freedom," Bush said. "The governments that are rising will pose no threat to others. Instead of harboring terrorists, they are fighting terrorist groups. And this progress is good for the long-term security of us all."
