The Brazilian pulp production should be of 9.4mil m tons in 2004, meaning an increase of 3% when compared to the 9.1mil m tons registered in 2003, according to the Brazilian pulp and paper association Bracelpa. The increase is smaller than 2003's, when production boomed 13% over the 8mil m tons manufactured in 2002.
