Small red dry bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) 'Amadeus 77' (Reg. no. CV-221, Pl 634536) was developed at the Escuela Agricola Panamericana lEAP), Zamorano, Honduras, and released for Central America in collaboration with the National Bean Programs of Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica and the University of Puerto Rico in 2003. Amadeus 77 is a good yielding cultivar with resistance to diseases and heat.
