Sep. 12--North Richland Hills and Watauga residents voted Saturday to cap city property taxes for older and disabled taxpayers.

Watauga voters overwhelmingly approved the freeze, 83.9 percent to 16.1 percent.

A record 14 percent of North Richland Hills voters cast ballots in the election. The freeze passed with 68.6 percent of the vote, with 3,698 in favor and 1,691, or 31.4 percent, against, according to results announced Saturday evening by city spokeswoman ...
