Sales of speciality foods are experiencing healthy growth, driven by the booming restaurant culture in the UK and consumers' increasing dissatisfaction with mass-produced and processed food.

Bob Farrand, national director of the Guild of Fine Food Retailers, says: "I do see the market for speciality foods increasing. Consumers are becoming jaundiced with mass-produced food and there is a growing backlash against such products."
