DRINKING sun-downers on the roof terrace of our villa, it's tempting to declare this as our own republic and close off the rest of the world.

But that's not the plan. With the end of my thirty-something years approaching, I'm once again determined to experience this wonderful party island in its full glory.

And at this time of year Ibiza's clubs are winding down with some serious end-of-season parties.
