Cook Island women criticise Pacific report.

30 AUGUST 2004 RAROTONGA (Pacnews) - Women leaders in Cook Islands have criticised a study on women which stated that not many national governments in the region are doing enough for their women.

Cook Islands Herald quotes Nga Teao, Chief Executive Officer of Cook Islands' Gender and Development, as expressing her disappointment that researcher Dr Penelope Schoeffel did not travel to the island nation to conduct the study before presenting a comprehensive paper on her findings.
