In October, Canadian Dimension reported on the case of Mary Pitawanakwat. Dismissed on grounds of incompetence by the Regina office of the Secretary of State in 1986, Pitawanakwat, had been battling the department since 1984, alleging rascist harrassment. A Canadian Human Rights investigation revealed that Pitakwanakwat had been subjected to "ongoing racial insults" and sexual harrassment, and decided to appoint a tribunal to inquire into her case. The Secretary of State, via the Justice Department, attempted to get a court injunction to stop the tribunal. Sec-State lost. ...
