Charles R. Shipley, Jr., a brilliant innovator in the field of electronic chemicals, and former Chairman of the Board of Shipley Company, passed away on June 13,2004 at his home in Sanibel, Florida. He was 86.
Mr. Shipley grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where his father was President of John Wanamakers. He graduated from Lawrenceville School in 1935 and attended Yale University. He served with the United States Navy as a procurement specialist during World War II with the rank of lieutenant.
