AFTER 34 years in the European wilderness Dunfermline returned last night - and ensured that their fans endured a rollercoaster ride in Iceland.

The Pars were stunned by a two-goal burst in three electric first half minutes against Icelandic part-timers FH Hafnarfjordur in the preliminary round of the UEFA Cup.

But they staged a terrific second-half fightback to turn around a game which had seemed to be slipping out of their grasp.
