Feb. 21--The prospective owner of a minor league hockey team in Gwinnett County says he'll be disappointed if he can't fill more than half the seats in the 11,000-seat Gwinnett Civic and Cultural Center arena when play begins in 2003.

And he doesn't think he'll have to raid the Atlanta Thrashers' fan base for paying customers.

"I don't perceive the Thrashers to be competition for the minor league hockey team," said Bill Davidson, a former minor league baseball executive who said he has held minority interests in minor league hockey clubs.
