DALLAS _ Dodos are still deader than a doornail, but biologists have resurrected dodo DNA.
The big, dead, flightless bird _ the first great example of how humans can drive other species to extinction _ turns out to be a member of the pigeon family, researchers report in Friday's issue of the journal Science. Even though the dodo has been gone for more than 300 years, it still has pigeon relatives living in Southeast Asia.
