May 21--Ernst & Young on Monday acquired accounting firm Arthur Andersen's Chattanooga office.

The move will double the size of Ernst & Young in Chattanooga, but leave the city with local offices of only one of America's Big Five accounting firms.

About 25 Andersen audit and tax professionals and others, almost all of its current personnel, will join Ernst & Young, said Don Bailey, who will be managing partner of the combined office.
