MEXICO CITY _ President Vicente Fox cancelled a scheduled June trip to Texas because of the acrimonious debate over border water, just the latest rift in a once-promising binational relationship, officials and analysts said Friday.

Officially, the president's office said the June 25-27 trip to Dallas, Houston, San Antonio and Austin was being re-scheduled for later in the summer.
