Jun. 27--A veteran U.S. military workhorse and the people who make it will be honored today at Tucson's Raytheon Missile Systems.

Company and military officials will celebrate as the 125,000th Paveway II laser-guided bomb rolls off the assembly line, said Donna Ellington, director of Paveway programs at Raytheon.

The general-use weapon will be cited for its long, successful run as a weapon of choice for 32 nations, and local workers who quickly boosted production to meet demand after the Sept. 11 terror attacks will also be honored, she said.
