Jul. 12--FATE, Texas--City Administrator Gerry Boren has some advice for the people of Fate: Buckle up.

The City Council is being asked to rezone 1,445 acres to make way for a development that could give Fate's 1,000 residents 13,000 neighbors.

The Woodcreek development, to be built during the next decade or two, would take up nearly half the city.

Overwhelmingly residential, it would include 5,333 housing units and no more than 100 acres of commercial property. More than 276 acres would be set aside for parks, schools ...
