Aug. 29--Madison-Kipp Corp. is revved up over Harley-Davidson.
Not only does the East Side die-casting plant make a part for Harley motorcycles, it also boasts a devoted contingent of Harley riders, from laborers to plant manager.
"I carried my first Harley frame home with the engine in an apple basket, all torn in pieces," said plant manager Craig McNulty. "It took me a year to buy all the parts and put it together."
That was in 1968. Today, McNulty, his wife, their three children and son-in-law all ride Harleys.
