Statue of Liberty to reopen to visitors -- with post-Sept. 11 changes.

Aug. 3--NEW YORK -- Even as security was being tightened around some of the United States' most powerful financial institutions on Monday, the very symbol of the nation's liberty was being prepared to be opened to the public for the first time since the Sept. 11 attacks.
The Statue of Liberty, her historic torch sweeping beyond the site of the felled World Trade Center, where a new age of terrorism in America was born nearly three years ago, on Tuesday morning will once again play host to visitors.
