QUESTION
Of the Beefeaters in the Tower of London, are any vegetarian?
OF THE 35 Yeoman Warders (Beefeaters), including the Yeoman Gaoler and Chief Yeoman Warder, at the Tower of London we're not aware that any is a vegetarian - though their nickname doesn't preclude them from this.
To qualify as a Yeoman Warder, you must be a former long-serving Senior Non-Commissioned Officer from the Army, RAF, Royal Marines or Royal Navy.
They are erroneously called Beefeaters, probably because they were given a daily ...
