HELICOPTER designer Frank Robinson got the bug to work on helicopters at age nine, after seeing a front-page photo of chopper pioneer Igor I. Sikorsky taking off in 1939. Now 74, Robinson went on to hold design and engineering jobs with major helicopter companies Bell Sikorsky and Hughes.
