YAKIMA, Wash. - The Eugene Emeralds took their troubles on the road.

Brandon Simon drove in the tying run and scored the winning run on a controversial play in the ninth inning to lead Yakima to a 5-4 victory over Eugene on Saturday, dropping the Emeralds 10 games behind Everett in the Northwest League West Division.

The Emeralds have lost six of their past seven games.

Eugene catcher Jose Lobaton doubled to score Ruben Mora and give the Ems a 4-3 lead in the top of the ninth inning.
