The popularity of pickup trucks has lead to new medical problems. In the past we've alerted you to the dangers of children suffering injuries when riding in the back of a pickup truck. Now there's another danger - carbon monoxide poisoning.

Carbon monoxide is a byproduct of internal combustion engines. When inhaled, it is absorbed into the bloodstream and displaces oxygen from the hemoglobin in the red blood cells. Carbon monoxide poisoning causes lethargy, headache, dizziness, nausea, confusion and even death.
