Oct. 26--Don't tell the kids, but Halloween is now just as much for adults as it is for pint-sized trick-or-treaters.

Retailers' shelves are stuffed with a variety of decorations children wouldn't touch -- what kid would pick a pumpkin wreath over a smoldering cauldron? -- as well as items their parents won't let them touch because of the high price tag. Take, for example, Target's $29.99 fog machine or Spencer Gifts' $54.99 vampire fountain.
