Sep. 24--MONROVIA, Calif.--Look out, Pasadena. Another nearby city wants to be known for its high-tech prowess.

Monrovia, long viewed by some as Pasadena's younger high-tech sibling, is in the throes of a 10-year push for new, high-paying jobs. And it doesn't plan to stop anytime soon.

Led by developer Samuelson & Fetter, Monrovia officials have spent the better part of 10 years drawing new technology firms to the city's once-blighted East Huntington Drive area, between Myrtle and Mountain avenues. The redevelopment effort ...
