Jul. 22--Shares in North Falmouth underwater equipment maker Benthos surged 68 percent Tuesday after the company announced a 30 percent jump in earnings during its most recent quarter.
The stock opened the day at $5.99 and climbed as high as $11.25 before ending at $10.07. Volume of shares traded was nearly 50 times that of a normal day.
Peter Zentz, a spokesman for Benthos, declined to speculate on reasons behind the spike. ...
