It is sad that at a time when scientists with the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) and NASA should be justifiably rejoicing over their remarkable accomplishments of landing two functioning vehicles on the surface of Mars within days, one or more of their colleagues has released to the media a confusing mess of remarkably garbled mineralogy, the likes of which I cannot recall, at least from powerful brain trusts such as these.
