Jul. 8--TOKYO -- Struggling automaker Mitsubishi Motors Corp. plans to transfer most of the workers at its factory in Okazaki, Aichi Prefecture, to another plant in Kurashiki, Okayama Prefecture, and move forward the planned closure of the Okazaki plant, company sources said Thursday.

The reallocation plan covers 1,600 manufacturing laborers of the Okazaki plant's workforce of 1,800, transferring 1,260 to the Kurashiki plant, 250 to a plant for Pajero sport-utility vehicles in the town ...
