According to "Tehran Times", due to high demand for heavy crude in the world, part of crude entering Bandar Abbas refinery is light crude from Lavan. Director of Bandar Abbas Oil Refining Company announced that the refinery processes 232,000 barrels oil per day. Abdolhossein Moridi stated that initial design of the refinery was based on using heavy crude, but using light crude will cause no problem for the refinery.
