Feb. 26--Coca-Cola has named a new president of its North American operations in yet another important change in the company's top leadership.
Don Knauss, a well-regarded insider, was named Wednesday to be president of Coca-Cola North America.
Steve Heyer, Coke's president and chief operating officer, had held oversight of North America following the December resignation of Jeff Dunn. But now Coke's board is weighing whether Heyer will be tapped as a replacement for Chairman and Chief Executive Doug Daft, who is retiring at the end of the year.
