The end of the Soviet Union has led to exposure of the KGB role in undermining the role of the Greek military, petroleum pipe line expansion, and US-Greek relations. The Soviet Communist Party also was a factor in financing Greek communist activities.
GREECE for 15 years following the fall of the Colonels was a cauldron of political ferment, and it was widely suspected that Soviet covert operations had a lot to do with it.
The Soviets of course denied any such activity...
