TOKYO, June 24 Asia Pulse - Aomori Prefecture on Wednesday effectively gave Japan Nuclear Fuel Ltd. the green light to conduct trial operations using spent nuclear fuel at its reprocessing plant in that prefecture.
The Aomori government presented to its assembly a draft of a safety agreement that is necessary before trial operations can begin. By releasing the draft, the prefecture gave the go-ahead.
