Founder's Son-in-Law to Retire from Board of Matsushita Electric Works.

Jan. 26--OSAKA, Japan -- Matsushita Electric Works Ltd. on Monday said Masaharu Matsushita, the son-in-law of Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. founder Konosuke Matsushita, will retire from its board on Feb. 18.

Matsushita, who is also a Matsushita Electric Industrial board member and adviser, has served as an outside board member of Matsushita Electric Works since 1961. He will retire possibly because of his age. He is 91.
