The historic home of the land speed record could be closed to all vehicles, from kite boards to cars, within weeks. For 100 years Pendine has brought in thousands of thrill-seekers, first racing motor vehicles and later using the power of wind to bring extreme sports like landboarding to the Carmarthenshire site, which is owned by the community council and the Ministry of Defence.
