May 19--The history of Albany can be found framed and behind glass at the Tantillo

Gallery: On one wall, a painting of the first documented structure built in New York state by Europeans ... a small Dutch trading shack created in 1614 and destroyed by a flood after a few years.

On another wall, a bird's-eye view of Fort Orange, circa 1635. In other places, a panorama of Albany's cityscape from the mid-19th century; depictions of Albany's port 200 years ago; a painting of one of the most powerful paddleboats to ever ply the Hudson River.
