Oaks Christian High softball coach Pete Ackermann has been named state Coach of the Year by Cal Hi Sports.
Ackermann has led Oaks Christian of Westlake Village to two consecutive Southern Section Div. IV titles and a 119-15-2 record in his four seasons at the school.
This season, Oaks Christian went 34-1, its only loss 4-1 to Westlake on April 24, breaking a winning streak at 46 games.
