Brood X's rackety reproductive rite in the tri-state is just about over, but another type of cicada will soon take its place in the trees of Greater Cincinnati.
Annual cicadas will begin showing up at the beginning of July, just as their distant cousins, periodical cicadas from Brood X, will have about played out. The good news is that there will be far fewer annual cicadas -- so few, that most people will not realize they are there.
