May 9--If not for their mother, Jenniefer and Helen Kirk, struggling financially in New York City, would never have tried to make their own jeweled hair accessories to sell for extra money. But they both had her talent for handicrafts.
So when their sparkling chopsticks, barrettes and combs sold well enough to merit an order of several thousand pieces from Bloomingdale's department store, the two sisters did what any accidental entrepreneurs might do:
