The choice for 76-year-old Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Shamir was clear: He could either keep his government intact by placating his hard-right coalition partners or continue to pursue the Middle East peace talks. Now that he has indicated he is choosing the peace talks, serious questions remain about what shape his government - and thus any peace accords - will take.
