Although health officials reopened the blue-green algae infested beach at Lake Kegonsa State Park Friday, the Rogers family won't be going swimming.
"I don't think anybody should go into the water under certain conditions," said Kim Rogers of Cottage Grove. Her 17-year-old son is the only person in the United States confirmed to die from the algae toxin. "The high heat, humidity -- those days just don't go into the water."
