KANSAS CITY, Mo. _ They comfort sick children in hospitals, entertain old folks in nursing homes, make millions laugh under circus big tops.
Robin Ritsch can't stand `em.
The wild hair. The giant feet. The red nose.
Frightening.
"Clowns are supposed to be this happy thing, but they look downright creepy to me," says Ritsch, a 36-year-old mother of two daughters in Kansas City.
