Realtor Linda Abrams shows dogged determination on the job and off.

The 2003 Agent of the Year at ERA Key Realty Services' Milford office, Abrams donated $500 recently to keep Dog Orphans Inc.'s sixth annual "Walk for Paws" on track.

The charity dog show had faced cancellation because Dog Orphans couldn't afford the event site's $500 rent.

"Linda is a real hero for us," said Ronald Morse, executive director of Dog Orphans, which operates a "no-kill" animal shelter in Douglas.
