THE 41km first phase of a new commuter and express rail air link in Korea is due to open in March 2007 between Incheon international airport and Gimpo domestic airport. It will be extended by 20.7km two-and-a-half years later to take the line into the heart of the capital at Seoul central station. Incheon international airport opened in March 2001 to serve all international flights from Seoul and to function as a hub airport in East Asia.
