A Los Angeles man pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court to five counts related to a conspiracy that transported and mishandled hazardous chemicals including perc wastes, according to a U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) release dated March 4.

Defendant Behzad Kahoolyzadeh (a.k.a. Behzad Cohen and David Cohen) and codefendants Homayoun "Harry" and Hormoz Pourat had been affiliated with one of the state's largest handlers of perchloroethylene wastes, Vernon, Calif.-based AAD Distribution & Drycleaning Services Inc.
