    MIAMI, Jan. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Peter T. McHugh, chief executive

officer of Pan Am, announced today that Pan Am has sued Delta Air Lines because of Delta's refusal to carry out its obligations to fund and sponsor a plan of reorganization for Pan Am. Pan Am's complaint states that Pan Am was forced to withdraw its plan of reorganization and to cease all flight operations on Dec. 4, 1991 as a result of Delta's breach of its obligations. 

 
    The complaint seeks substantial damages of not less than $2.5 billion ...
