GREENSBORO -- Jimmy Spencer learned firsthand last year the powers possessed by NASCAR President Mike Helton.
When Spencer belted fellow driver Kurt Busch in August, Helton levied a $25,000 fine, suspended Spencer during Bristol race week and put the then-46-year-old on probation through year's end.
"So, do you really think I'm going to roast Mike Helton out loud?" read the white poster board Spencer held aloft for more than 600 dinner guests at the Joseph S. Koury Convention Center.
